Similar to how you eat what you are, we obviously see the world through the perception of what happens to be passing through us that day, whether in the form of emotions, feelings, or moods... just as clouds pass through the sky of your mind during Vipassana meditation. The old adage that heaven and hell are states of mind applies here... that is, unless you're a medicine man or woman who's called upon to transmute the darkness of the world, above and beyond your feeling state, after becoming a hollow bone... or for some other reasons that you may know of.

Another injunction which might apply here is, as within, so without. Often, we can look to the world outside us to see how we're feeling (if we're not wise to our lower self), as it may be a gauge to how we are doing presently, and then perhaps (if we're lucky) necessitate us into taking responsibility for our life at some point... all of it... and not blaming our unease on anyone or anything but ourselves... because, if anything triggers us into any frustration of sorts, thus showcasing our attachment to how we want things to run... well, that's just some grist for the mill to be processed alchemically.
